1870-CC $1 XF45 PCGS. CAC. OC-8, High R.4. Osburn-Cushing Die State a/a. The 12,462-piece first-year mintage always attracts attention, as will the Choice surfaces of this attractive XF45 example. Nine die pairs were needed for the limited production -- an average of under 1,400 pieces per die marriage. This example displays faint iridescent colors beneath the overall brownish-gray toning. Marks are limited to a few unobtrusive, shallow rim nicks. CAC endorsement assures the overall surface quality and excellent eye appeal. CAC: 10 in 45, 8 finer (8/23).
