British India. Madras Presidency copper Proof Mule 1/48 Rupee 1794 PR64 Brown NGC, Soho (Birmingham) mint, KM395, Prid-314. "COMPAN" ribbon of 1797 issue. A marvelous example of this rare mule, glossy and beautifully toned. Exactingly struck, as are most Soho Proofs, the fields contrast well with the devices, displaying faint iridescence while the rims are an even brown with touches of remaining mint red. This is only the second example of this type we have been privileged to offer.
