GHORID: Mu'izz al-Din Muhammad, 1171-1206, AV heavy dinar (22.42g), Baldat Ghazna, AH603, A-1759, posthumous issue, the standard type citing only Mu'izz al-Din Muhammad b. Sam struck AH599-605; a magnificent example, with almost no weakness and all inscriptions totally legible; heavier than any examples filed on CoinArchives (their heaviest were 20.03g and 20.91g); some adhesions, mostly on the reverse, AU, RRR. Although Taj al-Din Yildiz was the actual ruler after the death of Mu'izz al-Din in AH602, he did not add his own name to the coinage until late in AH605.
