Four Chinese characters within a beaded ring standing for, "Ta Ching Gold Coin," in the outer circle above are six Chinese characters translating as, "Made (during) the Kuang Hsu (regime) in the year of Bing Wu (1906)," in the outer circle below are four Chinese characters translating as, "Kuping (weight) 1 Tael." Rev. Large dragon entirely surrounded by clouds. A simply stunning honey-gold example of a never utilized pattern Tael, boasting a razor sharp strike most evident in the wire rimming, and subtly reflective surfaces that entice the eye to stay for a prolonged and satisfying gaze.
